OXNARD, Calif. – A soccer player has died days immediately after a combat broke out among teams and spectators at a match in Oxnard, according to the Oxnard Law enforcement Division.
Misael Sanchez, 29, of Port Hueneme, was hospitalized back on Sunday, July 10, immediately after a combat broke out on a soccer discipline at Oxnard Significant Faculty. Officials say the struggle associated not only both teams but spectators of the match as very well.
Sanchez died early Monday morning, in accordance to police, and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to decide what triggered his loss of life.
“My household is heartbroken and however in disbelief, as we predicted a bright long run for him. Misael was assaulted by multiple assailants on July 10, 2022, and still left in significant condition.
We were being not completely ready for this kind of goodbye. At this time, we are asking for your prayers, and if you can lead monetarily, it will be drastically appreciated. The donations will aid the family members through these challenging periods,” his spouse and children wrote on a GoFundMe web page.
Law enforcement are however investigating the struggle, and are inquiring anybody who saw the combat or anyone who might have video of the incident to speak to detectives at 805-486-6228 or 805-385-7547.
