New York Yankees RP Aroldis Chapman Won’t Be Closer When He Returns From Injured List

MINNEAPOLIS — Yankees reliever Aroldis Chapman is inching closer to his return from the wounded list, working again from his Achilles tendinitis.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone mentioned Tuesday that the still left-hander will toss a bullpen when New York returns residence from this swift 3-sport vacation to Minnesota. The target, as of now, is possibly Friday or Saturday for the seven-time All-Star to get back to throwing off a mound.

Chapman is however a bit asymptomatic in his Achilles, but Boone claimed the bodily signs are not a problem. They just want to get him back into pitching shape right before bringing him back.
