Soccer field will honor New Yorker who made Fort Kent his home for 40 years

FORT KENT, Maine -– The soccer industry at University of Maine at Fort Kent will bear the title of a beloved group figure who died June 30.

Michael Isaac Simon arrived from New York to Fort Kent practically 40 yrs in the past to attend UMFK and under no circumstances still left. The industry, formerly known as Alumni Memorial Area, will be named Michael Simon Industry.

Simon, who was 63 when he died due to problems from a heart assault, had lived in a basement apartment at the Northern Door Inn motel given that 1983 when he moved to Fort Kent to get lessons. He frequented college soccer online games and procedures, the campus and city libraries, and regional dining establishments.
