The UNC Basketball software now has the No. 1 rated participant in a recruiting course on 247Sporting activities.
The internet site updated their rankings for the 2023 course and sitting at the top is UNC commit G.G. Jackson. The forward out of South Carolina shot up the rankings in the most up-to-date update to acquire the prime location, giving Hubert Davis and his software the No. 1 recruit and an enjoyable foreseeable future in Chapel Hill.
The 6-foot-9, 210-pound Jackson committed to North Carolina around Duke and South Carolina although landing a total of 16 features. UNC took the lead in the recruitment previous Drop and regardless of solid pushes by the Blue Devils and Gamecocks, Jackson picked the Tar Heels in the conclusion.
Jackson moved up 7 spots from No. 8 to No. 1 in the 247Sports rankings but nonetheless sits at No. 2 in the composite rankings behind only DJ Wagner.
Fellow UNC commit Simeon Wilcher is No. 20 in the new rankings that were released.
With Jackson and Wilcher on board, the emphasis now shifts to recruiting Matas Buzelis, a different five-star prospect in the class. Both Jackson and Wicher have stated they are making an attempt to recruit him to UNC.
