The 2022 group of Pac-12 wide receivers is one of the freshest I can remember at any position group.
The total number of catches, yards, and touchdowns this group has caught in the Pac-12 is tiny as a good number of mainstays graduated or left early for the NFL after last season.
This group is filled with transfers, including the top player, who is one of the biggest transfers in college football history.
1. Jordan Addison, Junior, USC
College football has truly changed. The 2021 Biletnikoff winner and the best receiver in the country has transferred from Pitt to USC.
He’s going to immediately be the best offensive weapon in the Conference and make Lincoln Riley’s and Caleb Williams’ lives much easier.
2. Gary Bryant, Junior, USC
Bryant really came on last year as the season went on, and the smaller, quick and strong target finished with nearly 600 yards and seven touchdowns. He should be a great weapon in Riley’s offense.
3. Jake Bobo, Senior, UCLA
The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Duke transfer is a great big target who is ultra-consistent. Last year he had more than 70 catches for nearly 800 yards.
He has more than 100 catches in his career.
4. Mario Williams, Sophomore, USC
The 5-9, 185-pound young talent followed Riley to LA after a great freshman season where he had nearly 400 yards and scored four touchdowns.
He will be another blazing weapon for the Trojans in 2022.
5. De’Zhaun Stribling, Sophomore, Washington State
People might not know his name but the big, young target from WSU had a great freshman year. He had more than 40 receptions for nearly 500 yards and scored five touchdowns in 2021.
6. Elijah Higgins, Senior, Stanford
Another target most don’t know about but who was really good in 2021. The 6-3, 235-pound target had more than 40 receptions for more than 500 yards and scored four touchdowns last season.
7. Tahj Washington, Junior, USC
It will be interesting to see how all the talented transfers into USC might affect Washington as he broke out in 2021, finishing with more than 50 receptions for more than 600 yards last year.
8. Jalen McMillan, Sophomore, Washington
Washington’s top returning receiver has a lot of talent and should build on the nearly 500 yards and three touchdowns he logged receiving in 2021.
9. Rome Odunze, Sophomore, Washington
A big, young target, Odunze has similar potential to McMillan and put up similar numbers with more than 40 receptions for 400 yards and four touchdowns in 2021.
10. Terrell Bynum, Senior, USC
A veteran grad transfer from Washington. It will be interesting to see how he slides into the new depth at receiver for the Trojans. He had nearly 1,000 yards receiving in his career.
11. Kris Hutson, Sophomore, Oregon
Hutson reminded me a bit of Travis Dye as a freshman last year: He’s small and has a knack for making big plays right when the Ducks need it.
He had more than 400 yards and caught two touchdowns last season.
12. Troy Franklin, Sophomore, Oregon
A blue-chip recruit coming out of high school, Franklin is one to watch out for as he’s starting to develop into a star as a sophomore after some flashes as a freshman.
