Hockey Canada declared a 23-female roster Monday for Canada’s nationwide women’s staff which will look to protect its gold medal at the 2022 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s Environment Championship in Denmark.
Players had been decided on by an 11-day variety camp that includes on- and off-ice screening, techniques sessions and 6 intrasquad games, competing for spots on the countrywide women’s and national women’s enhancement groups.
The roster consists of a few goaltenders, 7 defensewomen and 13 forwards picked by coach Troy Ryan.
The 10-workforce IIHF event attributes Canada in Team A with Finland, Japan, Switzerland and the United States. Canada opens the match from Finland on Aug. 25, faces Switzerland on Aug. 27, Japan on Aug. 28 and closes the preliminary spherical towards the United States on Aug. 30.
Prior to beginning the earth opposition, Canada will play a pair of pre-match online games from Denmark and the United States.
